"Colors of Spring"
Artist: Donald Zolan
Genre: All Genres
Size of Original: 24" by 24"
In this work Zolan captures the wonder of early spring, with the grass turning green, flowers adding new color to the world and a little girl named Crystal enjoying it all. The art almost bursts with spring beauty. Crystal is touching one bright crocus. Everything is coming alive, warmed by the sun. All the sunlight on the crocuses shows how bright the morning is. We can almost feel the sunlight cascading down on Crystal and the garden and we can see the burst of light coming from within each crocus. Crystal has had months of winter. Now she has spring at her fingertips. There is a delicateness about her in her soft hair, her lacy dress and the tender way she is touching just one crocus. She has long, softly-curling, sunlit hair that would dance in the lightest breeze. Zolan's dazzling crocuses seem alive. Each one is like a cup full of sunlight. One brilliant sunbeam seems to have found this row of crocuses.
